You can be fairly certain that the rank and file never got to use that fancy hotel on the Black Sea. It was just for the high muckity mucks. That said, there are a great many buildings that are not ugly and grey, which was your point. I am going to post some pictures on my blog in the next day or so that were taken back when Zholti Voldy was a going concern.
