Occupy movement hangs banner in Regina

Large banner across Ring Road overpass at Victoria Avenue

Occupy Regina protesters may have vacated Victoria Park, but someone wants to make sure their message lives on.

Callers into our newsroom this morning have been telling us there is a large banner across the Ring Road overpass at Victoria Avenue.

It reads in block letters "We are the 99%."

This is great I'm so glad that these people have enough courage and perseverance to keep up the fight. Its really inspirational and i cant wait till the next action so i can go join and show my support to the fullest

Next Year Country was a provincial magazine published by the Saskatchewan Waffle Movement in 1972 and was issued in various forms until 1983. This blog intends to contribute, not to a revival of the Waffle movement, but to the spirit of hope and optimism it reflected. We need this spirit again.
