Labour History Class in Regina

A class entitled Canadian Labour and Politics will be given at the Seniors' Education Centre, University of Regina this fall.

It will examine the history and role of organized labour in the political process in Canada. There will be emphasis on the role of labour in the evolution of Canadian democracy and the welfare state. The class will consist of lectures, class discussions and the occasional guest speaker or film.

It will be taught by Lorne Brown, Professor Emeritus of Political Science, University of the Regina. The class will meet on Tuesdays 1:30 - 3:30, Sept. 21 to Nov. 16, Rm. 108, College Building.

The Seniors' Centre will put out a program guide in the week of August 9 and registration begins the following week. Information can be obtained at www.uregina.ca/cce/seniors or by calling Heather at  the Seniors' Education Centre, 585-5816.

Anyone is welcome to take the class regardless of whether you are a senior.
